Welcome to the "Starcraft - Protoss" page. Here's some stuff you might want to familiarize yourself with for the Protoss race.
Protoss
A very powerful race that requires quite a bit of minerals and gas. It has the ability to regenerate their shields on every structure and unit.
Land Forces
Probe - This unit is for gathering resources and warping in your much needed buildings.
Zealot - Very powerful early unit, capable of killing several weaker units (ex. zerglings, marines) before being destroyed. Should be used throughout the game. Ground to ground combat only. It can run pretty fast once you upgrade.
Dragoon - The dead has returned. These are the fallen soldiers, now in a mechanical suit. Has good range when upgraded. Ground to air/ground combat. Should attack with zealots to make a good combo.
Reaver - Very, very powerful, but very, very slow. You must build each scrab in order for it to attack. Ground to ground combat only. Has far range. You should load it in a shuttle for faster transportation.
High Templar - Doesn't have an attack, but has very many useful spells, including psi storm, which causes damage to the units under the storm. Also halluncination, which creates 2 duplicates of the desired unit. Great for scouting, or just to scare your enemy, or even take the hit for your real units. Two high templars can merge into an archon.
Archon - Ground to air/ground combat. Has lots of shield but little health. Watch out for EMP shockwave. Great when attacking mutalisks.
Dark Templar - Permanently cloaked giving you the advantage for those players that don't build detection. Attacks with great damage. Ground to ground combat only. Two dark templars can form a dark archon.
Dark Archon - Can't attack, but has spells including mind control which makes a unit of your opponents under your control. Great when using again battlecruisers or carriers. Should be used by experts.
Air Forces
Scout - Air to ground/air combat. Great air attack, but very weak ground attack. Can kill battlecruisers with ease when used in groups.
Corsair - Air to air combat only. Does splash damage to nearby enemy air units. Great for overlord killing when used in groups. Also has a spell.
Carrier - Capable of having 8 interceptors, which must be built. Upgrade for attack and more interceptors are essential. Can cause great destruction for unprepared players.
Shuttle - Transportation, upgrade for speed is essential.
Arbiter - Capable of cloaking an entire army and has a few spells, including recall, which can warp an entire army from one point to where your arbiter is at.
Observer - Permanently cloaked. Great when left in opponents base, so you can see his every movement. One of the most useful units in the game.
